I believe every child, adult, parent, and partner strive to do the best that they know how, in navigating their life journey. Traveling on the road of life it is inevitable that obstacles and limitations will be encountered, presenting you with many challenges. If you are able to pause, assess, and view the situation from different perspectives it will be easier to choose an approach that fits the terrain, helping you reach your destination.
In working with clients at all stages in their parenting journey I have found that some people are naturally more resilient, able to easily climb out of ruts, while others seem to get stuck and cannot see any way out. I am dedicated to developing with you the resources you need to successfully manage the stresses in a growing family’s life.
I am passionate about helping couples open up to new possibilities. Through developing your curiosity and comfort in asking “why,” couples enhance their emotional intimacy. Conflicts are less frequent when partners interrupt their assumptions, and avoid blaming and shaming. I believe that growing families do best when the parents practice, and teach their children the values of appreciation and encouragement, and everyone feels more confident in their ability to weather stormy times in their growing family’s life.
I enjoy working as a therapist with individuals and couples during this special time in their lived, and believe a little bit of help can make a huge difference.
